“Gus” Guadagnino was elected to the Hernando County School Board on November 6, 2012. Gus is a 35-year Hernando County resident. He is a Board member of the Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, the former President of the Hernando County Education Foundation and now Ex Officio board member and current President of the Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation.

Gus earned an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Arts from New York Community College. Despite his many achievements, he is most proud of his family. He and his wife, Annmarie, have been married for 40 years. Gus says “Annmarie has a good chance for sainthood”. Together they have two grown children, a daughter, Nicole and a son, Joseph along with his two granddaughters. Along with his wife, daughter, son and granddaughters he has his best buddies their dogs, Sonny & Fredo.

He is a member of the Sheriff’s Office YES Program and a past Director, Board Member or Chairman of numerous other local organizations.  Gus also received the Sam Walton Business of the Year—Chamber Community Impact Businessman Commissioners Businessman Recognition—Florida Commissioner of Education (twice awarded) and the Italian Renaissance Club Distinguished Businessman of the Year.
