Do you have a project you would love to do with your students, but cannot get the funding?
Each year Florida Retired Educators Foundation (FREF) awards grants for $1000 to educators who apply.
Winners have done everything from buying a French horn, to starting a robotics club, to buying wobble chairs for autistic students, and more.

2024 August-December Tools for Schools Store Hours
The Tools 4 Schools store is located at the Hernando County Education Foundation (900 Emerson Road) in Brooksville. Teachers can shop for up to 25 items once a month on the days listed below. Please be sure to bring your ID.

Did you know that Hernando County Education Foundation (HCEF) provided over $150,000 in Student Scholarships, over $250,000 in Classroom grants and over $400,000 in classroom supplies during the 2022-2023 fiscal year? It’s true! We rely on business and community donations, partnered with state funding and our own fundraising efforts to be able to have this kind of impact on the future of our students and on our educational partners (like teachers, aides and school programs) equipping them for success!
