Icon Forensic Science Camp

West Hernando Middle School students will be able to explore multiple facets of the criminal justice field in an ongoing 6-week camp. The purpose of this project is to allow students to discover new interests in a field that is ever changing and growing. Students will complete criminal forensic analysis which involves analyzing and examining a collection of forensic evidence to construct plausible accounts of possible events associated with a crime. Careers in forensic science have grown exponentially and are projected to grow an additional 14% nationally and 33% in information security. WHMS students are also interested in the criminal justice classes at NCTH, and this will give them a way to explore before committing to a 4-year program without knowing their true interest level.
