Bonnie Townsend is the Program Coordinator for the Hernando County Education Foundation.  Bonnie works with the STEAM Program, Tools 4 Schools Program and the Take Stock in Children Program.  Even though Bonnie serves multiple roles she excels in providing the best service and programs possible.  She has worked with children for the last 15 years. During those years she has had the chance to work with a wide variety of children ages 1-17. Bonnie enjoys serving and providing for families and children in our community.

Through-out the years Bonnie has learned that Child Care needs to go beyond learning. She believes that before a child can learn they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When a child feels safe and healthy they are positively fostered through social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.  She feel that a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement, and respect. Although it is important to teach them curriculum; we all owe it to the children to understand them as an individual.
