Fred Weber is a business executive, software developer, and longtime advocate for public education. Raised in Winter Park, Florida, Fred began his career in restaurant management before transitioning into retail development and operations.

During more than 25 years with Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Company, Fred served as Vice President of Operations and oversaw store development, construction, point-of-sale systems, employee training, human resources, and daily operations. He later joined Books-A-Million as Director of Store Operations, supporting retail operations on a national level.

In 2012, Fred joined the Hillsborough Education Foundation as Chief Programs Officer. In that role, he helped lead the Foundation’s Teacher Resource Center, classroom grants, workforce development initiatives, and Take Stock in Children program. He also chaired several Foundation committees and became actively involved with the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations’ Teacher Resource Center Affinity Group, serving as its chair for several years.

While working at the Foundation, Fred developed AppleBase, a software platform designed to improve inventory management, donation tracking, teacher registration, and the overall shopping experience at teacher resource centers. What began as an internal solution grew into a system now serving 43 resource centers in 16 states and more than 100 school districts.

Fred currently serves as General Manager of WCM Construction & Roofing, LLC, while continuing to develop AppleBase and support teacher resource centers throughout the country. His professional experience includes business operations, construction management, technology development, human resources, strategic planning, and nonprofit leadership.

Fred serves on the boards of the Hernando Education Foundation, A Gift for Teaching, and the National Educational Resource Collective. He resides in Winter Haven with his wife, Vivian, and remains committed to strengthening organizations that support teachers, students, and public education.
