Gus Guadagnino

Gus Guadagnino is a longtime businessman, community leader, public servant, and advocate who has dedicated much of his life to serving others and strengthening the Hernando County community.

Originally from New York City’s Little Italy, Gus moved to Spring Hill in 1985 and built a successful career as an entrepreneur and business owner, including leadership of Joni Industries and Seaboard Pencil Company.

His commitment to community service spans decades. Gus has held leadership and volunteer roles with numerous local organizations, including the Hernando County Education Foundation, Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, Early Learning Coalition, Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation, Take Stock in Children, YMCA, and many other charitable and civic organizations.

A passionate advocate for education, Gus served 12 years on the Hernando County School Board, including service as Chairman. He has been particularly committed to career and technical education and creating opportunities for students to succeed through a variety of educational and career pathways.

In 2017, Gus founded the Veterans H.E.A.T. Factory, dedicated to Honoring, Empowering, Assisting, and Training veterans and first responders as they navigate post-traumatic stress and the transition to civilian life.

Throughout his career, Gus has remained committed to a simple philosophy: get involved, work hard, help others, and leave your community better than you found it. He continues to bring that spirit of service and leadership to the Hernando County Education Foundation Board of Directors.
