Ray Mooney serves on the Hernando County Education Foundation Board of Directors as an Ex Officio member.
Ray is originally from Medina, Ohio. He is married with two grown children. Ray enjoys fishing, golfing, yoga, reading and a variety of other activities.
Ray graduated with honors receiving his AA Degree from Pasco-Hernando Community College in 1980. Ray is also a graduate of Hernando High School.
Ray entered the advertising sales and marketing field in 1981 with the Daily Sun Journal newspaper based in Brooksville, Florida. Through his outstanding sales achievement he consistently led to successful sales and management positions throughout his career. Ray has extensive management experience with both print and digital advertising.
Ray currently works as the Advertising Account Executive with Spectrum Reach. Ray has won numerous sales awards including the 2000 North Suncoast Sales Professional of the Year and the Jack Lake Award (Account Executive of the year for the company).
Ray is active with the Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and has also served on the Citrus Education Foundation Board, Pasco County Builder’s Association Board, Pasco County Sales and Marketing Council Board, Past Vice President of the Hernando County Education Foundation Board, United Way of Hernando County, Rotary Club of Brooksville (Board member and Sgt. Of Arms), American Heart Association of Hernando County, Hernando County Committee of 100 Board Members, Leadership Hernando Steering Committee, Paint Your Heart Out Steering Committee and Team Captain and has participated in numerous festival and community events.
